PROGRAM HURGHADA THE RED SEA DESERT EXPEDITION 07 NIGHTS / 08 DAYS DAY 01: P.M. Arrival Hurghada International Airport, meet, assist and transfer to your hotel at Hurghada for overnight. DAY 02: A.M. Buffet breakfast, meeting with experience guides & leaders (French - English or German speaking) for lecture to explain the trip through the desert using maps (Maps carrying rooting, distances and timing will be distributed to each passenger). After lecture, passengers will move to the parking area for orientation of vehicles & equipment's (Just in case some passengers want to drive by themselves, of course drivers, as an assistant will stay in the car with passengers to assist). Rest of the day free at leisure to discover Hurghada, overnight at hotel. DAY 03: A.M. Buffet breakfast at hotel. Route: Hurghada - Mons Claudianus - Wadi Fateira - Meskat Goukh - Wadi Atalla. Depart from Hurghada 08:00. Enter the desert towards Gebel Shayeb Al-Banat, the highest of Egyptian Red Sea mountain (2187m). Drive through a labyrinthine of canyon valley to Mons Claudianus, an ancient settlement where Romans scoured their empire for the finest granodiorite. A visit is in our plan to the ruins of the quarry, where the available technology of wooden wedges, metal tools and camel- drawn wagons suggests a superhuman determination. After the tour abandons the mountain to an open vastness going through the plain of Wadi Fateira, the Ancient Roman Road of the Nile. There the tour lands at an Ancient Gold Mine excavated by the pharaohs, after lunch, en route, a visit to be made to a more recent mine, discovered and used by colonial Britain. Through a varied landscapes the tour arrives to the night camp in the spectacular vicinity of Wadi Atalla. Sunset Cocktail with Champagne with Mozart Classical Music followed by set menu dinner (Hot meal - Menus will be distributed day by day during lecture on day 02). Entertainment program this night is disco in the desert, overnight at the camping area at Wadi Atalla. DAY 04: A.M. Buffet breakfast at the camping area. Route: Wadi Atalla - Drier Yamus - Wadi Roustom. Explore the valley going south towards an archaeological site , where ancient Egyptians cut and shaped rocks for their temples, many rocks carries ancient drawings by pharaohs of undetermined dynasty, Deir Yamus becomes the nest destination on the route, Ruins of an isolated ancient Roman City, before the tour goes further back into history of mankind, lunch is served en route to an archaeological site of prehistoric origin, many rock drawings and engraving cover the walls of Wadi Roustom, for a change of view and a different experience, tonight's camp will be in sand - dunes. Moon & Stars Cocktail with champagne. Set menu dinner (Hot meal). Entertainment program will be Classical Music with Telescope to discover the sky and stars of course with an explanation from experienced guide and specialists. Overnight at camping area in sand - dunes. DAY 05: A.M. Buffet breakfast at camping area. Route: Bir Al Sheloul - Wadi Al Sheloul - Wadi Al Meyah - Towards Abu Al Hassan Al Shazli. Today's route is designed to experience the differently. The tour will be continue proceeding south learning of the geological structure of the Red Sea Desert. Granite, basalt, sandstone and calcareous exposures enrich the scene as the tour go through Wadi Al Sheloul to the wells of Aphrodite and Al Sheloul. After lunch a drift into the water valley (Wadi Al-Meyah). The valley's floor flourishes with the typical desert plants. The flora provides us today with an incomparable botany tour before camping along the route to Abu Al-Hassan Al-Shazli. Dinner (Hot meal), Entertainment program tonight will be Bedouin Cocktail + Dinner + Bedouin Show and Music (Real Bedouin participating with passengers for Bedouin dancing & Music). Overnight at camping area at the route of Abu Al-Hassan Al-Shazli. DAY 06: A.M. Buffet breakfast at the camping area. Route: Wadi Hafafit - Wadi Tougros - Wadi Al-Djemal. Today the desert reaches its maximum width between the Red Sea and the Nile. The tour runs right through the center. Scattered around are newly excavated prehistoric sites of Paleolithic and Neolithic origin. Still, the landscape change as we approach the southern latitudes of Egypt. Mountains of volcanic origin formed of the oldest rocks in Africa, acacias and a variety of planet spices come on the way. As we approach our campsite, there is a chance to see the wild life activity of the area. Dinner set menu (Hot meal). Entertainment this night will be free activities. Overnight at camping area. DAY 07: A.M. Buffet breakfast at camping area. Route: Mersa Alam - Red Sea Coast - Hurghada. The tour heads east, out of the desert. Through Wadi Al-Djemal, were acacias are abundant, some Ababda tribesmen may come our way. The only representative of the African Race of Al-Kenouz in Egypt. They live as nomads and maintain their way of life and cultural heritage. Out of the desert, the drive is due north, towards Mersa Alam. An ancient port on the Red Sea Coast. The tour visits a couple of bays for swim or may be a snorkeling experience at lunchtime. The afternoon is spent driving along the Egyptian Red Sea Coast with a spectacular view of the west of mountains in the haze. By sunset, the tour arrives to Hurghada. Direct to your hotel at Hurghada. Gala dinner & overnight in Hurghada. DAY 08: Buffet breakfast at your hotel. Transfer from hotel to Airport for final departure to your distention. |
